Bridgnorth District Webcams

We currently have two webcams in operation.

Birdcam at the Severn Valley Country Park

The camera is located at the Severn Valley Country Park in Alveley and is showing a pair of nesting blue tits.

River Severn in Bridgnorth

The camera is located on the side of the Theatre on the Steps and we are grateful to them for allowing us to mount the camera on their building. The image is updated every five minutes and shows the River Severn flowing under the bridge connecting High Town and Low Town.

Previous camera locations

During 2003 and 2004 a camera was located at the site of the Severn Centre at Highley and filmed the building of the Centre.

Other webcams

Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council operate two webcam which shows the River Severn from the New Guildhall at Frankwell Quay and the Welsh bridge in Shrewsbury.

Do you know of any other webcams around the District that we could link to from this site?

If so then let us know about the camera and as long as it passes the four key tests it may well feature here.

The four key tests that we apply to the use of webcams are:

  1. A person's face can't be identified;
  2. Car number plates aren't readable;
  3. The camera doesn't look into any windows (so anyone inside could be indentified);
  4. The camera doesn't look into gardens or other private areas attached to a premises.
