European Assistance

The whole of Bridgnorth is eligible for Objective 2 assistance and the Council is working hard to ensure that the area receives maximum benefit. There are 3 "Priorities" within Objective 2:

• Priority 1 - major industrial growth sectors including tourism/leisure, creative industries and food/drink
• Priority 2 - infrastructure - the District Council is co-ordinating the Severn Valley Strategic Package which comprises a number of major tourism projects, including Severn Valley Railway, Jackfield Tile Museum, RAF Museum Cosford, together with industrial premises provision and market towns enhancement
• Priority 3 - Community economic regeneration in Highley and Stottesdon Wards - the main project is the new Highley Multi-Purpose Community Centre

The Council is also able to advise on the wide range of European funding opportunities and signpost enquirers to relevant sources of European information.
