Environment and Planning

Welcome to the Environment and Planning section of the website.

Our environment plays a key part in our lives, from what people term the 'natural environment' to the places we live in.

Bridgnorth District Council want to achieve a balance between the need to encourage sustainable development whilst ensuring that our countryside, wildlife and historic buildings are preserved.

Our environmental health and planning services work to protect our environment from poor air quality, noise, heavy traffic, and inappropriate development.

Departments

The Planning Service is made up of Development Control and Building Control, dealing with commercial and residential planning applications, planning appeals, investigates potential breaches of planning control as well as providing specialist advice and guidance on the historic and natural environment within Bridgnorth District.
