Aspire

People have an extra incentive to get out of their armchairs and get moving following the launch of a brand new leisure card by Bridgnorth District Council.

The Aspire scheme, which offers discounts and priority booking for leisure centres and children's holiday activities, is being launched at the end of August.

Registration for an Aspire card, which offers lifetime membership, is free until April 2008 after which a small annual charge will apply for anyone who would like to join the money-saving scheme.

The card is aimed at centre users of all ages and will offer a number of benefits, with others due to be phased in during the next few months.

These will include: loyalty points to redeem against activities; advanced booking of facilities; online and telephone booking and the chance to be the first to find out about holiday activities as well as discounted prices for Aspire card holders from April 2008.

Aspire cards can be used at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre, Bridgnorth Sports and Leisure Centre, Idsall Sports Centre and Sports Development.

Bridgnorth District Council has now launched a drive to get as many people as possible to sign up to the scheme in the next few months.
