Birth - historical searches

Shropshire County Council is responsible for historical searches of the indices of births within Shropshire.

To carry out a historical search of the indices you must make an appointment with the Registration Service.

All appointments are subject to the availability of staff and must begin by 10.00 am to allow six hours to execute the search. It is not possible for you to book later appointments and complete your six hours searching time on another occasion.
