Education - behaviour development

Shropshire Local Authority (LA) has a duty to prepare, where relevant a statement setting out the arrangements for the education of children with behavioural difficulties (Section 527A of the Education Act, 1996). These statements are referred to as Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).

The purpose of this duty is to ensure that LAs have coherent, comprehensive and well understood local arrangements for supporting schools in meeting the needs of pupils in their emotional, behavioural and social development.
