Countryside Volunteers

The Countryside Volunteer Service meets every Tuesday from 9am to carry out practical tasks at Severn Valley Country Park and other sites around the district.

No experience is necessary, just a willing heart and a willing pair of hands! All tools and training are provided.

Volunteers Volunteers

Some examples of recently completed work includes the installation of a toposcope, pond and meadow creation as well as tree planting, fence and path work.

Weekend Volunteer Conservation Days

The Countryside Rangers at Severn Valley Country Park organise a number of exciting projects such as hedge laying, coppicing, fencing, charcoal making and other traditional woodland management tasks.

These weekend activities allow volunteers to enjoy the countryside and learn new skills in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The days run on one Saturday of each month from 10am. Occasionally they are run in conjunction with 'Countryside Events'.

A new 2008 programme will be available to download here in the new year.
