Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document

The Council have prepared a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on affordable housing. The purpose of the SPD is to supplement the affordable housing policies of the adopted Bridgnorth District Local Plan and provide detailed guidance and advice to those involved in the provision of affordable housing.

The Affordable Housing SPD was adopted on the 12th November 2007. This followed consideration by the Council's Community Improvement Committee of all the representations received to the consultation on the draft SPD, together with any changes proposed in response

The SPD is a material consideration when the Council considers planning applications that involve the provision of affordable housing.

Document Description
Adopted SPD Provides detailed guidance on how the Council's affordable housing policies can be achieved.
Adoption Statement Statement setting out details of the adoption of the SPD.
Statement of Main Issues Raised Statement setting out the main issues raised during the consultation on the draft SPD and how these were addressed in finalising the SPD for adoption.
Final Sustainability Appraisal Report This assesses the draft SPD against social, environmental and economic effects which would result from implementing the SPD.
Sustainability Statement Statement setting out how sustainability issues have been integrated into the SPD.
