Shropshire and Telford Arts Partnership (STAP)

The Shropshire and Telford Arts Partnership (STAP) is made up of representative local authority officers with responsibility for the Arts in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, curriculum advisors for the Arts from the LEA and the Arts Council England West Midlands' Officer for Regional Partnerships.

The aims of the group are:

• to strengthen communication between district and county councils and to network and support arts organisations, individual artists, promoters and volunteers working in the Arts
• to raise the profile of, and to advocate for, the Arts
• to coordinate Arts activity across the subregion
• to maximise funding for the Arts within the subregion

Shropshire County Council administers the SAP database on behalf of the partnership. This is a database of contact details for artists based in the subregion, to which regular mailings are sent promoting local creative opportunities.
