Director of Community Services - Dave Parish

Dave Parish has responsibility for a wide variety of departments at Bridgnorth District Council.

He is in charge of Customer Services, Property, Housing and Leisure and Amenities.

Mr Parish was born in Druids Heath, Birmingham and educated at Moseley Art School and the University of Birmingham. He is an Incorporated Engineer and an Associated Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers.

He started his career at Warwickshire County Council in 1974 and subsequently worked for West Midlands County Council, Birmingham City Council and Gloucester City Council.

Mr Parish joined Bridgnorth District Council in June 2000.

Outside of work he has a variety of hobbies, including gardening and painting, but most importantly he is a season ticket holder and passionate supporter of Birmingham City Football Club.

He also enjoys travelling, particularly to Brazil.

Mr Parish is married with one son and lives in Bromsgrove, in Worcestershire.

He said: "Just like A E Houseman in the past, I live in Bromsgrove, but prefer to work in beautiful Shropshire."
