Director of Development Services

Director of Development Services - Trevor Tarran

Services including planning, building control, environmental health, regeneration and tourism are the responsibility of Trevor Tarran.

Mr Tarran, who joined Bridgnorth District Council in 1974, was made Director of Development Services in May 2006.

The Shifnal resident previously worked for Stoke-on-Trent City Council after starting his career in the London Borough of Sutton.

During his time at Bridgnorth District Council he has worked as a planner, starting off as a planning assistant, then being promoted to area planner, Head of Development Control and subsequently Head of Development and Building Control.

He was Acting Director of Development Services from November 2005 before being officially given the role.

"I have lived and worked in the district for many years," he added.

"I am enjoying using the knowledge and experience I have gained to help Bridgnorth District Council to continue to adapt to ensure it provides high quality services that meet the needs of our customers."

The 55-year-old is married with two children. In his spare time he enjoys sport, walking and gardening.
