Parents and Toddlers

For parents of children aged 5 months to pre-school these structured sessions are held weekly during school term time on Wednesdays from 10.10 - 10.40 and are led by a teacher. There is no need to book and it costs just £3.20. Each child must be accompanied in the water by an adult (over 16).  

Junior Swimming Lessons

For childred aged 5 and over courses for Learn to Swim and Improvers are held during Easter, Summer and October school holidays on consecutive weekdays. After attendance at one of these courses a weekly course during school term time will be offered at the appropriate standard.

Weekly Courses

Weekly swimming classes are held for children age 5 years and over following the ASA National Teching Plan. Please contact Debbie Swales (Assistant Manager - Swimming) to arrange an assessment. These classes are held Monday to Friday between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm delending on which standard is appropriate.

Easter hoildays - Swimming Courses 2009

We will be holding the following Learn to Swim and Beginners courses during the Easter holidays.

Learn to swim - Age 5 & over who cannot swim (strictly not under 5).

Aim: ASA National Teaching Plan Level 1 or 2

Beginners - Age 5 and over who hold N.T.P Level 2 OR can:

• Swim 10 metres on front
• Swim 5 metres on back
• Float for 5 seconds with face in water

Aim: ASA National Teaching Plan Level 3

From	To
Monday 6th April	Friday 17th April

(none Friday 10^th, Saturday 11^th, Sunday 12^th and Monday 13^th)

Times:

Learn to Swim	9.45 - 10.30am OR 10.30 - 11.15am
Improvers	9.00 - 9.45am

Course Fee: Aspire Card Holder £50.40; Aspire Plus £42.80; Non-Card Holder £68.00.

Please ensure you book the correct course. Download an application form and return it, with fee and stamped addressed envelope, to the centre - it is anticipated there will be a high demand for these courses, places will be issued strictly first come first served. Cheques payable to Bridgnorth District Council. No refunds can be given unless accompanied by a Doctor's Certificate and then a 30% administration charge will be made. Written confirmation will be given.

Adult Swimming Lessons

For those aged 18 years and over there are learn to swim and improvers lessons to suit most standards. These are held during school term time on Monday and Thursday afternoons and Thursday evenings.

Competitive Masters Swimming

Northgate Swimming Club is an affiliated member of the ASA.

Teacher/Coach Training Courses 2008

General Information

1. Places on all courses are limited and will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis.
2. Application forms should be returned with the correct fee or official order and stamped addressed envelope for confirmation.
3. Please make cheques payable to Bridgnorth District Council.
4. All courses are to be held at Bridgnorth Sports and Leisure Centre. No refunds for cancellations can be given unless accompanied by a Doctor's Certificateand then a 30% administration charge will be deducted.
5. We require 2 weeks notice for cancellations; failure to do so will result in all fees being forfeited.
6. We reserve the right to cancel a course should this be necessary.
7. All information subject to alteration.
8. If you require any additional support in order to complete a course or assessment successfully, i.e. reader or scribe, you must declare it on the application form - you will be liable to any additional costs that may be incurred.
