Surveys/inspections

    Major repairs and planned maintenance schemes                        

From time to time we may need to gain access to your home to undertake surveys and Inspections.

This could be for a number of reasons: -

• Prior to major repairs, or planned maintenance work being undertaken
• To update council records on the condition of our stock
• To carry out specialist surveys, for example to identify the presence of asbestos-containing materials etc.

Should we need to gain access to your property to undertake survey work, the surveyor will carry identification or should have a pre-arranged appointment.

Do not allow any person into your home if they do not carry the relevant identification.

Annual servicing and safety checks of heating installations

In the interest of safety, we have appointed a specialist contractor to carry out an annual service and safety check of all heating installations. Our specialist contractor is currently CHN, part of the E-on Group.

Access

It is important that you co-operate with the contractor in allowing prompt access to your homes to carry out this work. The work is essential to ensure that your heating system continues to perform effectively and to ensure the continued safety of yourself, your family your neighbours and your property. At the time of checking your heating system they will also check your smoke detector.
