Adults and Carers Services

Adults and carers services for the district are provided by Shropshire County Council.

They work with service users in a way which helps them to keep their independence so, as far as possible, they can continue to make day to day choices about how they live. They also offer support to their carers.

They work with people aged over 18, and their carers, who require help to live independently at home, or need to live in a supported environment such as a residential or nursing home. Some people need help because they have mental health problems, a learning disability, a physical disability or sensory impairment or because they have become frail as they get older.

Shropshire County Council try to help as many people as possible, but have to give priority to those in the greatest need.
